Coalition Director in Chelsea, Massachusetts Sought

Do you live in Massachusetts? The Center for Community Health Improvement is looking for its next director of the Chelsea Coalition.

The director will work closely with city and community leaders to address some of the toughest public health problems in the country today. In Chelsea, the effects of poverty are visible and residents struggle with the barriers that prevent them from leading healthy lives. The prevalence of substance use and the escalating opioid crisis heightens health risks and the vulnerability of the community. An urgent response is essential.

The successful candidate will bring expertise in the prevention of substance use disorders and will integrate existing efforts to improve healthy eating and reduce family violence to lead the coalition in an ambitious plan to improve public health. The director will join a talented team recently recognized with the national 2015 Foster G. McGaw Prize for institutional—community collaborations that have produced demonstrated improvements in community health. The director will also get to collaborate with CADCA’s 2009 Got Outcomes! Coalition of the Year, Revere Cares.

Interested candidates may submit a cover letter and resume to Martha Kurz or call 978-309-8319.
