Just in time for National Poison Prevention Week, CADCA and AmeriCares debuted a new course, “Medicine Safety: Drug Disposal and Storage,” on cadca.org.
During this free course, coalition members can learn about the dangers of prescription and over-the-counter drug abuse and how you can keep your family, patients and community safe. Topics covered include:
- Conservez en toute sécurité les analgésiques sur ordonnance à la maison et en milieu clinique
- Avertir les patients des risques associés aux analgésiques sur ordonnance
- Éliminez les médicaments en toute sécurité

The Alliance for Aging Research, in partnership with the Acetaminophen Awareness Coalition, the American Association of Poison Control Centers, CHPA Educational Foundation, and the National Council on Patient Information & Education, will host a Twitter chat on March 23 on how to safely choose, take, store, and dispose of OTC medications. You can follow and join the chat using the hashtag #SafeMedsChat.
