Reports to: Director of Marketing

Employment Status: Full-time, exempt

Location: 500 Montgomery Street, Suite 400, Alexandria, VA 22314

Normal duty hours: 8:30 am-5:30 pm*, Monday through Friday

Overall Objective: The Marketing Associate will help to create the tactical execution for all multi-channel web-related marketing activities of the organization. This includes front-end website maintenance, analytics, testing, digital advertising, graphic design, and email marketing. This position requires working with multiple teams within an organization on critical web-related assignments.  

 

Specific Duties

  • Collaborates with senior management on all aspects of digital marketing
  • Website implementation, enhancements, and maintenance
  • Recommending and implementing digital improvements
  • Partners with other team members to ensure accurate content is on web site at all times
  • Execute various search engine optimization activities, including improving page content, keyword relevancy, structure, tagging
  • Help in the execution of marketing activities
  • Ability to develop creative content for a wide range of digital media
  • Design, test & deliver bulk email messaging to the subscriber base
  • Implement drip marketing strategies to support and drive lead generation
  • Administer lead generation templates for email marketing and landing pages
  • Publish and manage web content as required
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

Required Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to establish quick rapport with staff and members
  • Ability to multi-task, troubleshoot issues, and initiate projects to improve processes
  • Team player, comfortable working in a collaborative environment
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and database systems
  • Working knowledge of InDesign project management, a plus
  • Knowledge of CMS platforms and experience with CRM systems
  • At least two years experience in marketing and communications, public health background a plus
  • Bachelor's degree required
