Attendees will learn specific strategies to gather and use public data such as student surveys, crime and health data, in formats which have successfully increased awareness and buy-in from schools, parent groups and state agencies in Delaware by personalizing the approach. Expected outcomes include raised awareness and community mobilization.

  • Identify data sources in the community and the target audiences potentially impacted by them.
  • Understand key communications strategies for increasing community interest and "snowball effect" of effective presentations.
  • Recognize importance of linking data to prevention policy decisions.
