Description:

The unique challenges of building a coalition within rural areas, youth growing up in rural America, Risk and Protective Factor data, and tips to building and sustaining the necessary bridges within different sectors of the rural community, special emphasis on the faith community response.

Learning Objectives:

• Participants will be able to identify challenges of coalition building within rural areas.
• Participants will be able to identify special needs that are unique to rural youth.
• Participants will learn strategies to mobilize a rural community, with special emphasis on the faith community.
