Description:

Through this workshop we
will present successful Tennessee strategies, utilizing the National
Guard as a partner in Community Anti-Drug Coalitions and their
state association of coalitions. We will discuss the capabilities
of National Guard personnel to assist communities to develop strategic
plans, training and events, thus building greater capacity to
address identified local issues. We will also discuss National
programs of the National Guard that are available for use in local
areas.

Learning Objectives:

- Participants will realize that the National Guard
can be a tremendous asset in coalition prevention strategies.
- Participants will know how to contact National Guard
Counterdrug organizations in each respective state.
- Participants will be familiar with national programs
of the National Guard.
