Description:

Coalitions that have outcomes are a reality. Learn what it takes to nominate your coalition for the annual CADCA GOT OUTCOMES! Coalition of the Year Award. The Got Outcomes! Awards are a National Coalition Institute-sponsored competition recognizing coalitions that have successfully impacted substance abuse outcomes in a measurable way through the implementation of a sound strategic plan/logic model. This coalition showcase will give you the opportunity to learn about the Got Outcomes! award process and hear from this year's winners: Butte Youth Now (Chico, CA), Missoula Forum for Children and Youth (Missoula, MT), and Franklin County Communities That Care Coalition (Greenfield, MA).

In Part II of this workshop, you will hear from this year's winners. Butte Youth Now is the winner in the Intermediate Outcomes category. Located in Chico, CA, they are a young coalition but have developed a comprehensive plan that indicates they are well on their way to achieving their goals. Missoula Forum for Children and Youth in Missoula, MT is the winner in the Single Substance/Substance-Related Problem Category. They have comprehensively addressed their underage drinking problem and contributed to community-level decreases in underage drinking rates in Greenfield, MA is this year's winner in the Coalition as a Whole Category. This coalition implemented a communitywide plan to decrease youth alcohol, tobacco and other drug use in their county. They have contributed to population-level declines in youth substance abuse. Hear from them about the outcomes they have accomplished and what they did specifically to contribute to community-level reductions in substance abuse rates. Additionally, learn about the Got Outcomes! Award application criteria and process. Seize the opportunity to learn from other coalitions and how to showcase your own work so your coalition can be next year's Got Outcomes! Coalition of the Year Award winner!
