Presenters will provide an overview of a team approach to alcohol and other drug concerns used in congregations of all faith traditions across the country. Seven specific strategies moving people of faith from early initial efforts to effective sustainable ministries or services will be the heart of this interactive session.

Learning Objectives:

  • Describe the approach that engages congregations in prevention and recovery support efforts
  • Understand the use of the strategic prevention framework in working with the faith community; and,
  • Illustrate seven effective strategies for sustaining congregational involvement.
