Scholarship OpportunitiesCADCA SCHOLARSHIPSIf you or your coalition is a current member of CADCA and have held paid membership for at least one year, you are eligible to apply and receive a full or partial scholarship to attend CADCA's National Leadership Forum. Thanks to the generous support of our sponsors, CADCA will be able to provide 20 scholarships to attend the Forum. covering registration fees and hotel fees (room and tax only) for up to four nights. The process for selecting scholarship recipients is a difficult task. When applying, please consider your actual needs, as we would like to provide assistance to as many members as possible. Scholarships will be awarded at a maximum of one per coalition and are not transferable to any other individual. DESCRIPTION OF AWARDScholarships cover the costs related to the Forum e.g., registration fee and up to four nights lodging at the Washington Renaissance Hotel (incidentals not included). Recipients are responsible for all other expenses, including individual travel and meals. NOTIFICATION OF SELECTIONCADCA has final authority for selection of scholarship awards. Recipients will be notified by January 17, 2007. CSAP TRAINING SCHOLARSHIPSThe Center for Substance Abuse Prevention (CSAP) at the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) is sponsoring training scholarships in the amount of $1,000 for 50 individuals who belong to coalitions to attend CSAP's Community Prevention Day and CADCA's National Leadership Forum. No more than one youth and one adult from each coalition will be considered. Your coalition must have been in existence for at least six months to be eligible to apply and its main focus must be substance abuse prevention. Scholarships will be awarded at a maximum of one youth and one adult per coalition and are not transferable to other individuals. DESCRIPTION OF AWARDThe Scholarship of $1,000 is designed to assist with your registration fee, lodging and travel. Scholarship recipients agree to attend the Community Prevention Day and the Forum and must stay at the Renaissance Hotel Washington DC. In case an emergency and the applicant is unable to attend, he/she may re-apply next year. The applicant's name must be provided on the application at the time of submission.
