The National Guard Counterdrug Program provides personnel and equipment to support drug law enforcement and community based organizations in response to the changing drug threat – working with local and national anti-drug organizations to improve response to current drug trends; providing valuable support in organizing and planning youth camps and community events; sponsoring national anti-drug satellite broadcasts; providing the means for thousands of local groups to interact and share resources; and providing manpower, assets and facilities to host a variety of community events. State Drug Demand Reduction Administrators help local community coalitions by hosting meetings, providing logistical support for events and providing drug-free role models and mentors.
