A new report from the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP) found that marijuana use can aggravate depression in teens, and lead to more serious mental disorders, such as schizophrenia, anxiety, and even suicide. During a news conference last Friday, ONDCP officials said the findings prove that marijuana is not a harmless drug, as some people believe.

Community activists and law enforcement officials now have a new educational presentation available that they can use together as part of their efforts to prevent and reduce methamphetamine use. The presentation was developed by the Partnership for a Drug-Free America as part of their Meth360 initiative. Meth360 is a multidisciplinary community outreach program designed to enhance law enforcement efforts to deal with the impact of methamphetamine, and mobilize parents and concerned citizens to take action to prevent meth use.
