ANTI-DRUG COALITIONS RECEIVE BOOST FROM PHAMATECH, INC. SPONSORSHIP

ALEXANDRIA, VA — Efforts to curb the nation’s drug epidemic received a boost today from Phamatech, Inc., a new sponsor announced during Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America’s (CADCA) National Leadership Forum XIII. The newly-developed partnership will expand distribution of educational information, increase public awareness and enhance support for CADCA’s local anti-drug prevention efforts.

“We are thrilled to work with a company like Phamatech, Inc., whose mission and reach complement and extend our own,” said General Arthur T. Dean, Chairman and CEO of CADCA.

Reflecting his company’s belief in the importance of prevention efforts, Phamatech Inc.’s Vice President, Carl Mongiovi, observed, “We remain committed to helping reduce drug use in America and we are thrilled this collaboration will benefit local efforts to keep kids away from drugs.”

Phamatech, a nationally recognized leader in diagnostic health care, will promote CADCA’s Drug-Free Kids Campaign through its “Help Your Kids Say No to Drugs” pamphlet. Information will also be included in their At-Home Drug Test Instruction/Question and Answer Handbook. Additionally, Phamatech and CADCA plan to create an educational publication for community leaders that discusses drug-testing as a tool for drug prevention. This manual will be disseminated to more than 5,000 leaders in CADCA’s community anti-drug coalition network. CADCA supports these grassroots leaders by providing public policy and advocacy, training and technical assistance, media and communications strategies, evaluation and research, and national meetings and conferences.

A future in-store promotion of CADCA’s Drug-Free Kids Campaign in partnership with leading retail chains is also in development.
